Northwood Little League offers baseball for league ages 4-14. You may use the chart below or the age calculator on the official Little League website to determine your player's league age. 
For example, if your player was born on July 10, 2016, he or she is "league age 10" for the Fall 2025/Spring 2026 season.
The age determination date for a Little League Baseball player is the age of a player on August 31 of the current year through the following Spring season. NWLL divisions are grouped by league age to make the competition fair for all players.

League Age 14: Juniors

League Age 13: Intermediate

League Age 12: Majors

League Age 11: Majors or AAA 

Fall season: Players with prior AAA experience may be placed in Majors at request of parent and at the sole discretion of the league 
Spring season: Player may request Majors, placement determined through player evaluations 

League Age 10: AAA

Fall season: Player will be placed in AAA
Spring season: Player may request Majors, placement determined through player evaluations 

League Age 9: AA

Fall season: Players with prior AA experience may be placed in AAA at request of parent and at the sole discretion of the league 
Spring season: Player may request AAA, placement determined through player evaluations 

League Age 8: A Ball

Fall season: Players with prior A ball experience may be placed in AA at request of parent and at the sole discretion of the league 
Spring season: Player may request AA, placement determined through player evaluations

League Age 7: Rookie

Players with prior rookie experience may be placed in A Ball at request of parent and at the sole discretion of the league 

League Age 6: Rookie or Tee Ball

Players without prior tee ball experience may request tee ball
Players with prior tee ball experience may be placed in rookie at the sole discretion of the league

League Age 5: Tee Ball
