10 - 4 Final Score

Irvine, CA - The AAA Yankees took care of business in the playoffs and won both of their playoff games to clinch the AAA Northwood Tournament  Championship. They faced off against the very tough Giants in the final game.  These two teams battled every time they played in the regular season, each finishing with two wins against each other. The Giants had the tough task of playing for their 4th straight day in the tournament, but they weren't going down easily. Headed into the last inning, the Yankees had a nine run lead, but the Giants showed a lot of heart scoring three runs and getting men on base before finally running out of steam.

The Yankees had strong contributions from every part of the batting lineup, and their pitching and defense helped seal the victory. It was a true team victory.

The Yankees also came in second place in the entire interleague division against some very good Northwood and Lake Forest teams. After weeks of being tied with the Giants in the standings, the Yankees were able to take the top spot in Northwood Little League with a walk-off 2 run home run in the second to last game of the regular season.  Led by manager Bobby Lugo, the Yankees finished the regular season with a record of 11-5, and will represent Northwood in the D55 AAA Tournament of Champions.

Congratulations to the entire Yankees team, manager and coaches for an incredible season!
